Hello; Please stay away from private internet lenders. If they are asking for money up front, they are SCAMS.It is illegal in this country to ask for fees up front. If they are asking for money up front report them to the FTC and your states Attorney Generals office. There is no such thing as a legit internet lender.Ask your local bank about these scam artist wanting fees up front.

Is there a particular reason why you are trying to get private loans instead of obtaining financial aid? I thought that would be the case when I first started college but I was told about financial aid and I quickly jumped on the bandwagon. Grants and scholarships dont have to be paid back so try to get the ball rolling on those FIRST.

FINANCIAL AID BEFORE PRIVATE LOANS!!!! Have you filled out a FAFSA yet? There are Stafford Loans available to college students and they are NOT based on credit history, but rather on your financial need. Almost every student who is enrolled atleast half-time is eligible for a stafford loan. You're better off with the subsidized stafford loan because Uncle Sam (gotta love Uncle Sam) pays the interest on the loan while you are in school and the rate is lower than the rates of private lenders. Subsidized loans are limited though, in which case you would then turn to the Unsubsidized loan which is not based on financial need and almost everybody is qualified to get one. Interest will begin to accrue as soon as you get it though, so try not to borrow more than you need. Caveat: You always always always want to start with grants first, then apply for scholarships, then Federal loans, and finally, private loans. Visit your financial aid office and ask questions. Fill out a fafsa, and let your FA office award you money. Then if the grants are not sufficient to cover your total cost of attending, do the Stafford or Perkins loans. Good Luck, and keep your grades up.

Students who are looking for a bad credit student loan should pick three schools they are most interested in, talk to the admissions office, and ask what is needed to apply in their school.A bad credit%26lt;!--student loan is payable only after the student has completed his or her education, and has started earning a certain minimum amount. You can find more information Student Loan here,

Since April 2005, the minimum amount that the candidate of the bad credit student loan is required to earn has also increased. Bad credit student loans are available as both secured and unsecured loans--%26gt;depending on whether you are a homeowner or not. The rate of interest to be paid on unsecured bad credit student loans is higher than that on secured bad credit student loans. This is because the secured bad credit student loans are backed by your home as a security.
