Is it a good idea to take out a student loan for message therapy?

I don't have any help and don't have any money saved up to pay for it so I was thinking about getting a student loan. Is is worth it in the long run? Do you think I'll just be more in debt? Or will I just break even?

it would depend on a bunch of things like the type of loan, interest rate, etc.

keep in mind with some loans you must begin making monthly payments immediately... so getting that type would mean you would need a job while you're in school.

talk to your bank, they should help you.

I'd exercise extreme caution with this.

I wouldn't advise a student loan for message therapy unless you're absolutely certain there's a good future in it for you, you'd enjoy it, and this was the best way for you to get into it.

That said, try interviewing message therapists in your area. Find out how they got into it and how well they do financially. This should tell you if a loan is a good idea or not.

Also, see if you can become an apprentice of some sort. That way, you can earn money, get an education, and find out if it suits you at the same time without putting yourself into debt.
